No School is an Island

We all know that it takes a great effort by many people to develop and sustain successful schools.  But, do you find yourself working on an “island” – an isolated environment where you are wishing for more interaction with your professional colleagues? Do you find that your students are learning on their own “islands”, rather than in concert with classmates? Do you spend too much time on your “island” without reaching out to other departments or other schools for good ideas and effective  practices?
